This iOS application is primarily designed to assist individuals with Type 1 Diabetes in managing their carbohydrate intake and understanding the impact of various nutrients on blood glucose levels. It aims to simplify the process of calculating sugars, regular carbohydrates, and fat-protein units (FPUs), also known as extended or fake carbs, along with their corresponding absorption times.

FPUs are recognized as contributing factors to delayed postprandial blood glucose rises. Some semi-automated insulin pump systems support the entry of these extended carbs, enabling more precise insulin delivery adjustments.

Key functionalities include:

• The ability to save personalized dishes and create complex meals comprising multiple components.
• Access to product information through integration with the OpenFoodFacts food database.
• The option to scan product barcodes for quick data entry.
• The app calculates the total caloric content, sugars, carbohydrates, and extended carbs derived from fat and protein (FPU), as well as providing an estimated absorption time for these nutrients.
• Users can optionally store their blood sugar levels, carbohydrate details, e-carbs, or calorie intake in Apple Health for interoperability with other health applications; this storage is manual and not automated.
• Support for syncing food data across all iOS devices via iCloud, enhancing convenience and continuity.
